| Supia60 |
[Thursday June 18 10:37 pm] |
Since I first saw kyotopunk's Hannya in March of 2006, I have been on the lookout for a Supia60* to call my own.
Several of the dolls have shown up over the past couple of years, but never at the right time (read: I was broke). One, in fact, was right after my wedding (and right before a new car purchase) this past fall!
I am delighted now to be able to announce that I have a Supia60 on layaway, now two-thirds of being wholly my own. I am completely thrilled and elated, and my brain does not stop thinking of her.
* For the uninitiated, please note that Supia 60cm was a limited run sculpt, and is very different in sculpt and availability from Roda, Rosy, Lana and Lina.
But my brain does not stop there, oh no. My friends, I am OCD. I would never hope to own all the Supia60s, but I do want to know where they are! There are only twenty of these girls, possibly less if anything unforeseen has happened. Such a group is as small as some families, and with the love Yu-Jin put into sculpting and casting them, they ought to be reunited as such! I am trying to 'gather' them into a chart of information.
I have created a chart to try and keep track of each of the girls and their voyages over the past three years. Some are easy to track, still with their original owners and as treasured as the day their wooden crates were first opened.
Others have had multiple homes. Sadly, some have lost their numbered certificates along the way, making tracking them very difficult (thus you see far more entries on my chart than there were dolls produced - I look forward to gaining the information needed to combine duplicate rows).
Sadly I seem to have hit a wall. There are folks with information whom I have contacted, but who have chosen not to respond for whatever reasons. My GoogleFu and DoA searches can only get me so far.
All the same, I have decided to persevere, and hope that my friends out there in LJ-Land might have a tip or two to share with me!
If you, or someone you know, has ever been in possession of a Supia60 girl, please give me as much information as you can!
Thank you so much!

| Available Customs, February 2009 |
[Tuesday February 17 10:56 am] |
On occasion, I may have dolls either from my personal collection or purchased specifically to customize. I've decided to post monthly with whatever dolls I have for sale, lest people think that they've been snatched up.
He is on his original Taeyang body and comes with everything you see in the photos (outfit, shoes, hat, wig, stand, skateboard, backpack). His eyes were closed at the outside corners to make him look a bit younger. Modding and face-up by me. Asking $130 plus s/h for him.
( More photos of Taeyang behind the cut )
Also, just to note, I moved my server last night but didn't re-upload all the files, so if you notice something missing, just let me know that it's missed and I'll re-upload soon!

| Whew - Long time! |
[Monday July 28 10:13 am] |
I haven't updated this journal in forever, it seems! My collection has gone through all sorts of changes! I'm back down to two SD-sized dolls, so the majority of my collection is now 14cm or under! That's strange to me!
Anyway, I finally updated my website with some, though not all, of my recent (and not so recent) face-ups.

I'm particularly happy with the "Mrs. Lovett" I painted. The head is a DIM Minimee Helena Bonham Carter head in white skin, shown with a tibetan fur wig made by Desert Rose Couture and wearing SOOM 14mm Kiwi eyes, on a SOOM Super Gem body. The head (no wig, eyes or body) is available for sale, $160 plus s/h.
And from my own collection, I have decided to sell my modded Taeyang:
He is on his original Taeyang body and comes with everything you see in the photos (outfit, shoes, hat, wig, stand, skateboard, backpack). His eyes were closed at the outside corners to make him look a bit younger. Modding and face-up by me. Asking $130 plus s/h for him.

| Widdershins! |
[Friday November 23 5:33 pm] |
daisydayes created the perfect Widdershins for me based off a sketch I drew. And guess what arrived today!! :D

PaperJack didn't really want anything to do with this interloper.

So she set herself to task working on Elliot's pocketwatch.

She's really rather industrious.
Thank you Daisy!! You really made her come to life, like no one else would have been able to! :D

| Obitsu Gretel Face-up |
[Thursday September 13 1:19 pm] |

Here's the Gretel I finished last week for my friend Susan. This obitsu head was sculpted by Rainman of Elfdoll, so if there's a resemblance to a Ryung, it's no coincidence!

[Monday May 7 3:18 pm] |
A friend sent me her Gena, Charlie, to have a tailored outfit made. Charlie is a horse thief, and got a 'cow girl' themed outfit.

| My New Etsy Shop Now Open! |
[Monday April 2 1:06 pm] |
http://pngear.etsy.com
My doll clothes and other items will be sold through Etsy to simplify the steps between my sewing machine and your doll. Tell your beauties to hijack your paypal account and get over there! ;)
This first round of items includes 8 shirts and two skirts (all sized for 60cm BJDs, specifically Rainy Dolls by Elf Doll).
Next update I plan to list hats, more skirts, and items for Pullips!
Thanks for looking!
(Etsy's really simple to use if you're not familiar with it. You only need to provide your name and email address, but you pay the shop owners directly).

| Which Body Type? |
[Friday March 16 10:49 am] |
I'm preparing to make a batch of Pullip skirts this weekend, and I'm not sure which body type would be most in demand. I appreciate your feedback!
Which body type do you prefer clothes be made to fit?
o - Type 1 o - Type 2 o - Type 3 o - Obitsu replacement body
Scratch that. I'll add a second clasp so the skirt can be adjusted for tiny waists, and just make it floor length on the type 3, and let the ankles shine on taller dolls. ;)

| Miss Frankie |
[Thursday March 15 4:44 pm] |

Miss Frankie (real name Francine) is my newest resin family member. I've had her since the end of February, but finally finished her skirt last night and took photos for her proper introduction.
She is an Iplehouse Cocori, wearing her stock wig, 16mm Hazel Glastic eyes. The top is from Iplehouse, the skirt by me.

| Athene |
[Monday March 12 3:18 pm] |

My most recent commission, a Lishe named Athene, is finally complete! We had our final photoshoot and goodbyes last night. Unfortunately my camera seems to have been acting up and took WAY too much light through the lens on many shots. Luckily I snapped close to 100 photos, so there were a few worth salvaging. :)
Athene came to me from a previous owner, and has received a brand new face-up, along with a wardrobe of two full outfits. A gray silk gown for her royal court appearances, complete with a long silver hooded cloak, and a 5-piece hunting outfit and matching short hooded cloak. The shirt and vambraces have hand-made chain maille detailing. The Crossbow is a found object collected from another toy, and the boots and high heels are Luts. Not sure where her owner found the marvelous wig. ( 27 more behind cut )

| Paperjack |
[Friday January 5 11:32 am] |
Although I only got Paperjack as a holiday gift, she's been planned out since early October, so she gets to be the next doll presented.
She's a 14cm Tiny Monnaemi "Min Del Re", also by Elf Doll.

| Caldera |
[Wednesday January 3 11:49 am] |
Wow, it's been nearly forever since I've updated this journal! Believe me, I haven't gone anywhere, I've just been keeping myself busy.
For some reason, I never posted photos of Caldera, my Elf Doll Sooah, after I got her. How weird!

( A few more.. )
Caldera is a three-piece torso Sooah, by Elf Doll (elfdoll.com). She has a default face-up, and a Rocker Gold Label wig in black/orange, with silicone Masterpiece eyes in two different colors.
I didn't think I'd ever find a BJD that would make me want to spend the money to get one, until I saw the Special Sooah released in October of 2004. My boyfriend organized my family into buying me the Standard release Sooah for my birthday in 2005, and well, you can guess where I've been all this time! :P
You can read and see more about Caldera on her private blog: Lungs of Ash
